little brother is a mapping system that uses photographs to chart your intersections with nodes in a spatial database. Using GPS and the data connection on your mobile phone, your current position is monitored and compared against a database containing geo-spatial information.
In this version of little brother, I am using a database of known surveillance cameras in New York City. When the user is within 50 meters of a surveillance camera, the Little Brother system begins to record photographs and upload them to the internet for use in the construction of map documents. These maps illustrate the areas that are under surveillance in New York City and the users journey through this spatial data.
